CellTec Systems at the 2024 Woche der Umwelt in Berlin

Under the patronage of the Federal President of Germany, the Woche der Umwelt was held on June 4 and 5, 2024, in the park of Schloss Bellevue in Berlin, with CellTec Systems participating alongside BIO Deutschland, the German industry association of biotech companies.

At the well-attended exhibition, about 190 exhibitors from industry and technology, research, and science showcased forward-looking solutions for environmental protection. We were present with a booth focused on cell proliferation for Novel Food, where we demonstrated innovative food products, their ecological impact, and the underlying technology. Concurrently, numerous expert forums and discussions took place. Our booth attracted many interested, open-minded, and curious visitors.

Along with Dr. Henning Hach from CellTec Systems, company representatives included Dr. Cornelius Lahme from BLUU Seafood and the BIO Deutschland team, providing insights into the current state of product development and the required production processes. Our bioreactor model, which demonstrated the unique advantages of our patented reactor process live, was a highlight for many visitors, illustrating the necessary scaling of cell production.

Model of the Patented CellTec Proliferation Process

The CellTec process enables cyclic cell proliferation in three-dimensional gel structures, allowing, unlike many other methods, the proliferation of unaltered, i.e., natural and non-immortalized cells. We are skeptical of actively immortalizing cells for better proliferation for cell biological reasons.
